About Us
Our company has been well known in the Leicestershire area of the United Kingdom for over 80 years. My Grandfather, Walter Moores, established the business in Leicester in 1925. He was a cabinet maker by trade, for whom antiques started as a hobby and eventually became a way of life. Both my Father and myself joined the business at separate times and continued the tradition of upholding the high standards of quality and authenticity that our customers, both in the UK and abroad have come to expect.
I now have over 40 years experience dealing in quality 18th and 19th Century antique furniture. As a result of my extensive experience, I am an established member of the vetting committees at a number of quality antique fairs, including the prestigious National Fine Art and Antiques Fair, which is held annually at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham in association with LAPADA (London and Provincial Antique Dealers Association).
We are members of both LAPADA and CINOA (International Confederation of Traders in Works of Art) and are committed to a high code of practice in the sale of quality antique furniture, which the two associations ensure. In addition to the security of purchasing from a registered LAPADA and CINOA dealer, we are more than happy to give a detailed condition report on any item. Should you wish to discuss any item viewed, please do not hesitate to contact Anne or myself.
